The Qipao Jumpsuit
The Qipao jumpsuit is a modern mandarin collar jumpsuit that is comfortable, easy to wear and can take you from day time casual comfort to night time elegance as well as endless feasting during the Chinese New Year period without having to worry about bursting out of your fitting Qipao.
It has the classic mandarin collar and front opening, finished with facing instead of bias tape, and instead of using sew on chinese knot buttons we are going for more subdued elegance with rouleau button loop closures which allows you to use beautiful buttons all along the front opening as a design feature. You can also add piping details for a pop of color like what some of our testers did! The Qipao jumpsuit has an elasticised waistband, no bust or waist darts, and is designed specially for lightweight drapey fabrics such as viscose, tencel or rayon etc.
This pattern comes with print-at-home files for A4 and Letter size paper, A0 size for printing at a copy shop, as well as projector patterns.

PATTERN FILES
This pattern is for Ladies sizes 0-16 and includes a tiled PDF for instant download. The PDF patterns are layered which allows you to isolate and print only the sizes you need. There is a printing guide in the instructions that will show you how to select the layers you need.
With the layer PDF files, you can choose to print at home on either A4 or Letter size paper which will need to be pieced together, or A0 size patterns for printing in a copy shop.
There is also a projector pattern file which has been optimised in layout and format for use with projector sewing.
USE OF PATTERN
You may use this pattern to make garments for sale in small quantities (e.g. home businesses) but not for mass production.
