The Seiri Bag
The Seiri bag is a multi-functional bag that helps you sort out your life!
The word Seiri is from 整理 in Japanese which translates to organize / put in order, which is the idea behind this bag. Have you ever bought a bag with pockets and compartments for every little thing you can possibly think of, but in the end everything always ends up into the main and largest compartment? I have tried so many ways of sorting out my stuff without success till I came across a similar bag like this in Japan, but it was too small for my daily needs. I hunted for a similar pattern but I couldn't find anything like it, so I decided to figure it out and come up with a pattern!
This bag comes with 3 zippered compartments which makes organizing much easier to achieve. I divide my items based on how frequently i access them. For example the outermost compartment is for quick access items like mobile phone, tissue and wipes etc. Centre compartment which is the roomiest holds a water bottle, snack, quick change of clothes, even books and toys for my kid. The last compartment which is held nearest to me holds my wallet and keys. It will work great as a travel bag, everyday bag and the largest size will be fantastic as a diaper bag! You can hack it further by adding more pockets within each compartment. But this pattern only shows you how to construct the bag with 3 zippered openings.
The Seiri bag can be carried 2 ways, using the short handles as a tote, or messenger style crossbody. It comes in 3 sizes - small, medium and large. The smallest size is cute and can be carried by a child, whilst the largest can even fit a laptop! It can be a casual bag for everyday outings, or even a formal work bag depending on your choice of fabric and finishes.

Note : This product listing is for a PDF sewing pattern and not a physical product. This is a PDF sewing pattern that you can download immediately and print at home on A4/Letter size paper. There is no A0 option for this pattern as the pattern fits in 9 sheets of paper which will result in excessive waste of paper if printed in A0 size.
